Lewis Hamilton designs his dream F1 track
|

As the Race of Champions draws closer, F1 champ Lewis Hamilton has revealed his dream track. The youngster from Stevenage is, at 23, the sport's youngest-ever World Champion. Together with sponsors Mobil 1, he has selected the 10 trickiest track corners in the world and combined them to create one super-lap, demonstrating what he feels would be the ultimate Grand Prix circuit.
There are two corners from the tracks at Spa, Suzuka and Monaco as well as the Copse complex at our very own Silverstone. The dream track also includes aspects of Interlagos, Estoril and Istanbul. If that wasn't enough, Hamilton has planned a counter-clockwise circuit, a sure-fire way of testing drivers' skills! In creating the virtual track, Hamilton (who currently races for McLaren Mercedes) said: "I wanted to create a circuit that would be challenging, exhilarating and enjoyable but, most of all, somewhere you would love to have the chance to drive." First up is a corner taken from the famous Istanbul circuit. Drivers take on this (virtual) corner at 150mph and are subjected to 5G. The fastest corner on the dream track? Silverstone Copse which, Hamilton explains, "You approach flat out around 190mph, you can't touch the brake." Do you think Hamilton's circuit is the best of what F1 has to offer? What would your dream F1 track consist of?
